The global pen injector and auto-injector markets have witnessed significant growth due to the increasing demand for self-administration of injectable drugs. Pen injectors and auto-injectors provide a user-friendly and convenient solution for patients to administer medications, contributing to improved patient compliance and overall healthcare outcomes. There are well established traditional market segments that use cartridge-based delivery systems, including dental local anesthesia and diabetes care, as well as human growth hormone and allergy therapies. However, there have been significant developments in the incorporation of cartridges in auto-injectors as supposed to the traditional syringe designs.

The purpose of a service dog is to assist and bring joy to someone’s life. To train a service dog is a massive undertaking, with the first year of that training coming in the form of “puppy-in-training.” West volunteers have had the privilege of sharing in the raising of three puppies in training as part of its ongoing commitment to Canine Partners for Life, an organization dedicated to placing service dogs. The most recent of those is an adorable black lab named Cret.

The predominant areas of growth are within the insulin and biologics therapeutic areas, as well as overall growth within emerging markets.

Employees at West’s Eschweiler, Germany, facility celebrated the holidays with a party that had some very generous results.  The party took place on December 15, 2012, with more than 520 employees attending and participating in a lottery for three superb prizes, including a flat-screen television, digital camera and gift voucher for gas.
