Rigid and Soft Needle Shields and Tip Caps

West tip caps and needle shields are designed to fit most standard prefillable syringes. They are not manufactured with dry natural rubber and comply with U.S. and European pharmacopoeias. These components are manufactured from elastomers especially designed for prefillable syringe applications. 

West has rigid needle shields that provide added safety for insert- and staked-needle prefillable syringes. The molded plastic outer shell in combination with the soft rubber part helps reduce needle tip damage when removing the rigid needle shield from a prefillable syringe with attached or inserted needles and optimized for functionality.
