Deep-rooted in West’s culture, the health and safety of our team members has always been our top priority. And this remains consistent and strong despite the challenges brought on by COVID-19. Recently, our manufacturing plant in Sri City, India achieved 2,000 recordable incident free days, which is a tremendous milestone that demonstrates the team’s collaboration and commitment to safety at all levels of staff, from management to the plant floor.

Our vision for the West Knowledge Center has always been to deliver a digital platform full of the most cutting-edge science and product information to further support our customers and potential customers in their search for packaging and device solutions and services. But what about individuals who are new to the industry? Where do they go to gain a strong foundation in these areas to figure out exactly what they need?

The impact of a cancer diagnosis can be stressful. Questions such as “how will I tell my family?”, “how will I afford to pay my bills?”, “will I ever work again?” and even “will I survive?” are at the forefront of the patient’s mind as they process their diagnosis and begin treatment. So, how can the patient experience with treatment be supported? By offering the best quality of care.

In our last update, we mentioned that we were using real-time data and analytics to guide content growth. Every six months we analyze which of our Knowledge Center categories are the most popular. If a category is heavily accessed, our experts in those areas work to deliver even more cutting-edge information for customers.

There have been many innovations over the past century since it was first shown that insulin injections could help control chronic diabetes. Advances in hardware and software have resulted in more accurate blood glucose sensors that work via less invasive means and insulin pumps that have become smaller and ever more sophisticated. As we discussed in our last blog [1], there are also newer drugs, that when combined with traditional insulin therapy, can help patients better control the blood glucose levels.
