Tech Group Europe Raises Funds for Dialysis Machine

As part of the annual West without Borders campaign, Tech Group Europe raised €30,000 (approximately $45,000) in 2013 for Temple Street Children’s University Hospital.  The donation will be used to fund a much needed dialysis machine for the hospital’s renal unit.

The 2013 charity initiative was marked by a huge increase in fund-raising activities and participation by Tech Group Europe employees. Activities included the annual “Race around Ireland” cycling event, a hotly contested company soccer tournament, comedy night, sports prediction quiz and a cake bake-off.  In addition a team of women from Tech Group Europe participated in the Dublin Women’s Mini Marathon, which is the largest all-women’s event of its kind in the world.

Anne Cooney, who accepted the check on behalf of Temple Street Children’s University Hospital from Don O’Callaghan, was highly complimentary and grateful for the efforts of the staff of TGE and said the achievement “showed that it’s not just doctors who can help to save the lives of others.”
