Eric Green joins West from Sigma-Aldrich Corporation, where he served as Executive Vice President and President for the Research Markets Business Unit from 2013-2015. This business unit offers research products to scientists in life science, academic, government and hospital settings around the world.
Eric joined Sigma-Aldrich in 1993, and held leadership positions in sales, marketing, strategic planning and domestic operations, all with increasing levels of responsibility. He has extensive experience in international operations management and formerly served as Sigma-Aldrich’s Vice President and Managing Director of International, and led the Company’s expanding footprint strategies in the Asia Pacific and Latin America regions from 2005 through 2012. Eric also served in leadership roles, managing the operations for the company in Canada and the United Kingdom.
Eric earned his Master of Business Administration from the Olin Business School-Washington University in St. Louis, Mo., and holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Bethel University, in St. Paul, Minn.
Eric serves on the Board of Directors for the World Trade Center – St. Louis. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees for the St. Louis Children’s Hospital Foundation.
West Pharmaceutical Services, Inc. today announced that Eric M. Green has been appointed the company’s Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Donald E. Morel, Jr., Ph.D., current Chairman and CEO. Eric Green will join West and take on his new responsibilities on April 24, 2015.
As a special thank you to this year’s Director’s Cup Award winners, Eric M. Green, President and CEO; Annette Favorite, Sr. VP and Chief HR Officer; and Tom Gribbin, VP, Operations, Americas, served a catered dinner to all three shifts at our St. Petersburg facility. This visit from leadership provided an opportunity to personally recognize everyone for their commitment to safety, quality, productivity, lean programs and community service.
West’s location in Jurong, Singapore celebrated 40 years of operations and announced an inauguration of the newly advanced facility last month. This site’s updates will improve manufacturing efficiency for the future of containment for injectable medicines. Last month, Eric Green, CEO and President, customers, and other West executives attended the festivities and ribbon cutting.
West today announced a multi-year investment as part of the Company’s evolving research and development strategy. To better support pharmaceutical customers around the world, West will add capabilities to all of its global Packaging Systems R&D facilities, and develop two new R&D Centers of Excellence—one in the Asia Pacific region and one in Europe—to leverage regional capabilities and expertise in parenteral drug packaging.
We are excited to share that Annette Favorite, Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at West, has been recognized as a 2018 Women of Distinction Winner by the Philadelphia Business Journal. She was recognized at the Women of Distinction Awards Dinner, held at the Sheraton Philadelphia Society Hill Hotel in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on November 15, 2018.<br />
