On June 15, 2016, West’s contract manufacturing division—formerly known as The Tech Group—attended Medical Design & Manufacturing (MD&M) East in New York City. This annual event is especially insightful, as it offers access to six additional industry expos–EastPack, ATX (Automation Technology) East, Atlantic Design & Manufacturing, PLASTEC East, HBA Global, and Quality Expo. Show attendees discovered the latest innovations, new materials, and state-of-the-art manufacturing processes from among 900 suppliers.
West's contract manufacturing team has been participating at MD&M East for more than 20 years. “MD&M East Expo and conference is the largest and most comprehensive MedTech event on the East Coast,” said Shari Krusniak, Marketing Manager, Contract Manufacturing. “It’s a great opportunity to connect with customers, suppliers, and industry professionals looking to collaborate on new projects.”
West's contract manufacturing team displayed their manufactured devices along with other product offerings manufactured for the pharmaceutical, medical and consumer industries. The booth was fully staffed with West's contract manufacturing representatives ready to answer attendees’ questions and provide additional product knowledge.
The show featured workshops, product demonstrations, roundtable discussions, conference sessions exploring the latest in mobile health, wearable technology, interconnectivity solutions, and featured the annual Medical Device Excellence award competition.
MD&M East has always been a successful show for West's contract manufacturing division and we look forward to returning in June 2017.
